What happens to a property if it does not sell at an Upset Tax Sale or a Judicial Tax Sale?

If a property does not sell at an Upset Tax Sale or at a Judicial Tax Sale, it is placed in the County Repository. Parcels in the Repository include those that have previously been made available for sale to the general public for delinquent taxes but were not sold. All parcels in the Repository are available for purchase, with bids starting at a price established by the County Tax Claim Bureau.

Like all real estate transactions, purchasing properties from the Repository should not be entered into without due diligence. It is advisable to contact an attorney and research the title prior to acquiring any property via Repository Sale.
