What does it mean that a General Power of Attorney is “Durable”?
A General Power of Attorney is considered “durable” if the powers the agent has continues even after you become legally incapable of handling your financial affairs. In other words, the powers granted to your agent survive your incapacity, which is exactly when you want your agent to have such powers.
