Do I have a right to appeal?

An appeal is generally available in most matters, but that does not necessarily mean a second trial will occur. For example, an appeal from a Court of Common Pleas will proceed before either the Pennsylvania Superior Court or the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court and is based upon the record made in the trial court below.
