Matt McCullough is a resolution-driven attorney who strives to put his clients first through his thoughtful and committed approach. He is dedicated to building long-lasting relationships with his clients, in addition to delivering them exceptional results. Diligent and hard-working in all facets of his practice, Matt takes pride in providing timely advice, perspective, and clarity to his clients, often giving his clients what they need before they need it.

His practice consists primarily of labor and employment advice and litigation for employers and business/commercial litigation. Regarding labor and employment, he provides advice and litigation services to employers concerning Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, Wage Payment and Collection Law claims, Whistleblower claims, wage and hour matters, employee non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, employee theft of confidential business information and trade secrets, terminations and general employee relations, employee handbooks, employment practices audits, and training. Matt’s business and commercial experience is widespread, including breach of contract and warranty claims, shareholder oppression, squeeze outs and related disputes, dissenter's rights and fair value determinations, commercial disparagement and unfair competition claims, False Claims Act/qui tam actions, and other commercial disputes.

Matt’s employment and commercial litigation practice includes proceedings before the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Federal and State Departments of Labor, the Pennsylvania Unemployment Compensation Board of Review, the American Arbitration Association and in state and federal trial and appellate courts. He recently successfully defended a local university foundation against anti-trust claims in federal court, obtaining a dismissal in the district court, which was affirmed by the Third Circuit after oral argument.

Matt is an active contributor to the community, serving on the Boards of Northwestern Legal Services, Bayfront NATO, Inc./Martin Luther King Jr. Center, and until recently, many years on the McDowell Boys Lacrosse Boosters Club. He is an elder and serves on the session of Wayside Presbyterian Church, and is a member of the Presbytery of Lake Erie Commission on Ministry. Over the years, he has enjoyed being involved in the activities of his two children, including coaching ice hockey and soccer teams, promotion of lacrosse in the region, and scouting. Matt also enjoys volunteer work with local shelters.

Matt received a Founder's Award at the Martin Luther King Center's 2017 annual awards dinner in recognition of his time and commitment to the principles of Dr. King and the founders of the MLK Center, located in the West Bayfront neighborhood of Erie.
