Committed to helping others, Janine is a tireless proponent for her clients and her community. Known for her strategic and practical approach to complex transactions, Janine is a strong advocate for her clients, protecting their interests while also acting as their counselor. Janine believes in a holistic approach to the practice of law. By developing an in-depth relationship with her clients she is better able to address the current issues at hand, as well as uncover protentional future problems before they arise.
Janine comes to MacDonald Illig with a wide range of experience encompassing businesses large and small. As prior in-house corporate counsel for a large national bank, she practiced in the areas of retail banking, with a focus on consumer banking, and workout matters. Her previous law firm experience included legal work for both for-profit and nonprofit business clients. As in-house counsel for a family owned business, she was accustomed to effectively dealing with legal issues while balancing the unique needs of a small business. Janine concentrates her practice in the areas of real estate, banking, business transactions, and copyright & trademark matters. She is licensed to practice in all Pennsylvania and Ohio state courts and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
Janine is an active member of the Erie community, and is currently serving a second term as an elected School Board Director for the Millcreek Township School District. She has also been involved in the Athena Powerlink program and has volunteered for the Erie County Bar Association's Wills for Heroes project.
